Of course, it is impossible to imagine our digital age without social media. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube - platforms that have already become fully integrated into our everyday lives. So it was all the more exciting for us - the soundproofing department at GiB mbH - when we received an enquiry this year from Fabian Baggeler, a well-known and successful TikTok content creator.
With over 2.9 million followers on TikTok (with 70.7 million likes) and more than 500,000 followers on YouTube, Fabian can already boast quite a few successes. His content covers a wide range of topics, including various challenges and entertaining experiments.
Inspired by one of his most successful videos (‘How long can you survive absolute silence’), Fabian now wanted to go the complete opposite and came up with the idea for a new self-experiment, namely ‘I survive the LOUDEST ROOM IN THE WORLD’.
In this video, Fabian shows his reaction to the extremely loud environment and describes the physical and mental challenges he had to face.
The setting for the ten-minute video is the reverberation room at the GiB Research and Development Centre. Andreas Anthuber, Head of the Acoustics Test Centre, not only actively supported Fabian behind the camera with the set-up, but was also able to demonstrate his specialist knowledge of decibels, sound waves, etc. in an interview.
Two weeks after the video went online on YouTube and has already received almost 300,000 clicks, the video can definitely be categorised as a complete success.
