Basic prerequisite for avoiding building damage and mould formation is a condensation water free construction of all components and connections. Therefore, we investigate critical situations on surface condensation as well as condensate formation within the building structure. The thermal and hygroscopic behaviour of building structures mesh strongly. As a result the calculation of the heat losses follows the verification of the absence of condensation.
