Thermal comfort

Offices are increasingly becoming a ‘living’ place for employees due to long working hours. A comfortable indoor climate is therefore a necessity for users.

The comfort zone is the zone in which the indoor climate triggers a sense of well-being and satisfaction in the majority of people in the room. Outside this zone, concentration and performance levels can drop and health problems can occur.

We support you in testing thermal comfort so that the indoor climate can be objectively assessed and provide a sound basis for decision-making:

  • Calculation of the PMV/ PPD in accordance with DIN EN 13779, DIN EN 15251 and DIN EN ISO 7730, taking into account the parameters:
    – air temperature
    – radiation temperature
    – air velocity
    – air humidity
    – Clothing - clothing insulation value
    – Activity - activity level
  • Continuous recording, measurement and analysis of air temperature, humidity, air velocity, mean radiant temperature

  • Determination of local discomfort: Draughts, temperature differences, radiant heat

  • Measurement of the degree of turbulence in the room air
