IngenieurGesellschaft für innovative Bautechnologie mbH (GiB) has been providing expert advice on all fire protection issues since 2009. From the initial idea to the realisation of a building, GiB's experts support their customers in the construction industry. Specialist planning and reliable verification in accordance with country-specific building regulations form the foundation for every project. This not only ensures compliance with legal requirements, but also guarantees the long-term safety of building users in practice.
GiB is also setting new standards in product development and testing with a new research and development centre, equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment such as a small fire oven for component testing and various measuring devices for fire protection and acoustics.
An impressive example of GiB's expertise is its involvement in the Fraport project, one of Europe's largest privately financed infrastructure projects at Frankfurt Airport. For the extension of Pier G at Terminal 3, GiB, under the management of Thomas Pinta, took over the fire protection quality assurance department and thus the majority of all fire protection and building physics planning and its monitoring.
Thanks to the early involvement initiated by the Lindner Group, GiB was able to solve problems preventively and implement the high fire protection requirements during the construction phase and during operation. This also meant that a successful inspection by fire protection experts could be carried out in a time-saving manner.
Other services included escape and rescue route planning and the creation of fire brigade plans.
